New Study on Language Immersion

This article has a great deal of information on how language immersion programs (such as the one we have) help students prepare for better academic success. Please take a few minutes to read it, I know you will find the information valuable. It is written more geared towards the teacher, but still provides valuable information for parents.

Thanksgiving Program

Thank you so much to those parents that were able to make it and to those of you who sent in delicious food items for us to enjoy. It was truly an awesome event. We are very thankful for the support you all provide as parents.

In case you weren't able to make it, we took a video of our dress rehearsal yesterday for you to enjoy.

Turkey Disguise Project

Today, the students are coming home with their first project. There are directions included, but if you are short of inspiration, Google search "Tom Turkey Disguise" and you will find many ideas and suggestions. This should be a well thought out disguise, which is why we have allowed until November 12th to turn it in. Feel free to use any items you have, including, but not limited to, feathers, cotton balls, markers, tissue paper, fabric, magazine clippings, etc. Anything goes!

Please let us know if you have any questions. Remember, this is their project. We appreciate your help and support, but the majority of the work should be done by them.

Thank you! We are looking forward to seeing the awesome things the students come up with!

Thank you!!

Alphamotions

This is the song we use in English to teach the alphabet letter sounds. You can convert this YouTube file to an mp3 and download it (happy to do it for you if you bring me a CD). Play it over and over again until you want to break it, then play it some more :) It truly does help them learn the letters!
